𝐍𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤

      𓃬𝐍agarahole, also known as Rajiv Gandhi National Park, is a Tiger Reserve and National Park in Karnataka, India, known for its dense forests, diverse wildlife including tigers, elephants, leopards, and gaurs, and the river Nagarahole that flows through it. Located in the districts of Mysore and Kodagu, it features moist deciduous and semi-evergreen forests, rich in teak and rosewood trees, and is connected to the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve.

❂ Wildlife:The reserve is home to a large population of Asiatic elephants and a high density of tigers, along with leopards, wild dogs, sloth bears, gaurs, and various species of deer and birds.

❂ Forest Types: The western part of the reserve has moist deciduous and semi-evergreen forests, while the eastern areas transition to dry deciduous forests. 

❂ Flora: Dominant tree species include teak and rosewood, along with other trees like sandalwood and silver oak. 

❂ Geographic Location: It is situated between the Mysore plateau in Karnataka and the Nilgiris in Tamil Nadu.

      Nagarahole is contiguous with the Bandipur Tiger Reserve to its southeast and the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary in Kerala to its southwest.
